I grew up in Long Beach, CA, and have always been drawn to the natural world — the ocean, the mountains, and the desert all felt like home. In college, I studied Biomedical Engineering and marveled at the body’s intelligence, yet I carried an emptiness I couldn’t seem to fill. I chased perfection and “more” — more friends, more possessions, more achievements — but nothing filled that void I felt deep within.
Over time, the struggle became greater than the joy. I slipped into eating disorders, addictions, people-pleasing, and many other self-destructive behaviors until life became about surviving, rather than thriving. My physical body suffered too, with symptoms like acne, digestive issues, and stubborn weight gain. No diet, skincare, workout plan, medication, or self-help book gave me lasting relief.
My healing began on my mat with yoga and later deepened through Ayurveda, which I first encountered in 2018. This ancient wisdom helped me see myself as more than a collection of symptoms needing to be fixed. I saw myself as a whole, and complex, being — body, mind, and spirit alike. With the guidance of Myra Lewin at Hale Pule Ayurveda & Yoga, I learned to treat myself with gentleness, gradually shifting my daily habits and reconnecting with nature’s rhythms. Slowly, my symptoms disappeared, and I found a sense of inner peace I had always dreamt of.
In May 2025, I completed my 600-hour Ayurvedic Health Counselor training with Hale Pule. Today, I share this wisdom through workshops, consultations, yoga, and meditation, supporting others who seek balance, relief, or a deeper connection with themselves.
I believe Ayurveda offers us a map back to wholeness. When we live in harmony with nature and ourselves, we find freedom — freedom from symptoms, from fear, and from whatever else may hold us back. From that place of peace, we can fully live and truly thrive.
